The Health Informatics Benchmarking Club was set up in March 2008 and provides a national framework to help NHS Health Informatics providers to quality assure and develop services that they know are fit for purpose, both now and in the future.

The aims of the HiBC are to:

•         Act as a network hub

•         Test out new ideas and concepts

•         Conduct annual benchmarking projects

•         Help members implement change through the use of best practice and  lessons learned experiences

•         Create benchmarking partnerships

•         Promote and support ‘site visits’

•         Share best practice
